On June 13th, 2018, the International training course on oil palm cultivation was held by Oil Palm Department in academic hall of Coconut Research Institute (CRI). 50 tropical agricultural workers from Lancang-Mekong Basin countries and other developing countries participated in this training. The training contains the basic use, seeding cultivation, planting, adult tree pruning and management, pest control of oil palm. During the training, students communicated with teacher activity. The training atmosphere and teaching effect was very well.

Through this training, the agricultural workers from Southeast Asia and other tropical countries had a preliminary knowledge on oil palm. This training was supported by demonstration project of promotion of forestry science and technology--Demonstration and Promotion of High Yield and Efficient Cultivation Technology of Oil Palm.
