On May 6-15, 2019，Huang Shanchun, the scientist of  the Plant Protection Department,  went to the United Arab Emirates to implement the special task of joint investigation and development evaluation of agricultural resources in tropical countries. The purpose of this visit is to promote technological exchange and cooperation between China and the countries of  the "One Belt and One Road", and to share China's scientific and technological achievements with foreign countries, and to introduce advanced technology and products from abroad.

The team visited the date planting parks in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and other regions of the United Arab Emirates. A systematic investigation was conducted on the date germplasm resources, pest control in the United Arab Emirates. At the same time, the construction of red palm weevils integrated prevention and control base was investigated, and the cooperation of date research was discussed with agricultural experts in the United Arab Emirates.
