On November 11, a group of 7 people from Vanuatu Palm Oil Co., Ltd. and Baoquanling farm in Heilongjiang visited our institute to seek scientific and technological cooperation for the development of oil palm plantation in Vanuatu.

During the period, they visited the oil palm base of CRICATAS, and had a discussion with the deputy director of CRICATAS, Dr. Fan Haikuo and scientific and technological researchers of oil palm. At the meeting, Dr. Fan Haikuo extended a warm welcome to the visitors and introduced the basic situation of CRICATAS; Dr. Cao Hongxing, the director of the oil palm research center introduced the situation of our institute’s oil palm international cooperation and technology "Going Global"; The farm director Han Donglai from Baoquanling farm in Heilongjiang introduced the current situation and mode of cooperation between Baoquanling farm in Heilongjiang and Vanuatu Palm Oil Co., Ltd., and chairman Li Jianguo of Vanuatu Palm Oil Co., Ltd. introduced the development of Vanuatu oil palm planting project and the problems faced and planed the technical service and guidance of the IFB planting area (5000 hectares). The three parties communicated and exchanged on the next step of the innovative cooperation model of the Vanuatu oil palm plantation project.
