Dr. Lv Chaojun, the plant protection researcher of  Coconut Research Institute, attended the forum on ecological and green development in South &Southeast Asia in the form of video conference on September 22, 2020.

The Forum was organized by Yunnan Provincial Science and Technology Department, P. R. China, Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences (YAAS), P. R. China, and co-organized by Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, Agricultural Environment and Resources Institute, YAAS, P. R. China, International Agriculture Research Institute, YAAS, P. R. China. There were two workshops, including green prevention and control of major cross-border pests for agriculture, and biodiversity and green food production.

The forum was rich in content, covering the fields of agriculture, forestry, pesticide application reduction and efficiency improvement, utilization of biological natural enemies and integrated pest control, and other fields. Through participating in this forum, the researcher’s vision was broadened, especially some of the latest research ideas were accessed in the field of biological control, which would provide technical support for the properly development of related research in the future.
