From November 20 to 22, in order to promote the research work of Oil-tea Camellia, focus on the key areas of industrial development, and clarify the development direction of the "14th five-year plan", Director General Wang Fuyou led the team, vice director Chen Gang, member of CRI Wang hui, Dr. Jia Xiaocheng went to the National Camellia Science Center, Institute of Subtropical Forestry, Chinese Academy of Forestry Sciences.
Director General Wang Fuyou and his party had a discussion and exchange with researcher Yao Xiaohua, chief scientist of National Camellia Oleifera Science Center. Researcher Yao Xiaohua introduced the latest development of Oil-tea Camellia research team in detail, and put forward opinions and suggestions on the orientation, development strategy and key research fields of Oil-tea Camellia. Director General Wang Fuyou put forward four suggestions for the cooperation between the two sides: First, to jointly build the tropical area sub-center of the National Oil-tea Camellia Science Center to jointly develop Hainan Camellia germplasm resources; Second, to jointly build Hainan regional test station for new variety testing of Oil-tea Camellia to serve the protection of new varieties of woody oil crops; Third, to jointly build Qionghai base of national Camellia scientific center, and further promote the application of Chinese Academy of Thermal Sciences and Academy of Forestry Sciences in woody plants. Fourth, we welcome the PhD and master graduates of the National Oil-tea Camellia Science Center to work in Coconut Research Institute and jointly build the Oil-tea Camellia research team in our institute. Chief Yao Xiaohua agreed with the four suggestions put forward by Director General Wang Fuyou, agreed that both sides should sign a scientific and technological cooperation agreement, and carry out in-depth cooperation on the joint establishment of Oil-tea Camellia science and technology innovation platform, Oil-tea Camellia germplasm resources platform, and joint planning of provincial and ministerial level major scientific research projects.
After the meeting, the two sides jointly inspected the National Camellia Oleifera Core Collection (Zhejiang) Nursery, fully exchanged common key technologies of Oil-tea Camellia industry concerned by both sides, and reached a preliminary consensus on further in-depth cooperation.
