In order to implement the Hainan provincial government on strengthening the development of coconut industry conference spirit, to make relevant government departments, coconut practitioners fully understand global coconut seed industry overview and situation and market status of Hainan coconut breeding new varieties, improving the awareness of the new varieties of coconut and the degree of publicity, playing a high benefit of new coconut high yield, early knot, dwarf variety advantages , boosting rural industries of Hainan province, "Coconut Varieties Seed Industry Development Conference" was held in Sanya on March 13, 2021 by Coconut Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Tropical Agriculture Sciences and Hainan Coconut Industry Association. 

Prof. Lalith from Sri Lanka, Dr. Sentoor from Malaysia, Prof. Hengky from Indonesia, and Prof. Wilaiwan from Thailand, were invited to participate in the " Coconut Varieties Seed Industry Development Conference " online to make reports for the conference, which described the development situation of coconut seed industry in native country and provided a reference for the development of coconut seed industry in China.
