On June 9th, The researchers of CRICATAS, Cao Hongxing and Xu Lijing, represented the project team of "Pakistan Tropical Economic Palm Production Technology Integration and Demonstration" to participate in the symposium on the operation of the pilot program for the cross-border use of fund, equipment, and materials in the International Science and Technology Cooperation Project of Hainan Province organized by the Science and Technology Department of Hainan Province. The meeting was presided over by Chen Yixi, Director of the Achievement Transformation Division of Science and Technology Department of Hainan Province.

          At the symposium, the three pilot units reported on the operation progress of the pilot program for the cross-border use of the fund, equipment, and materials, as well as the difficulties, blockages, and suggestions in the implementation process in the Hainan Province International Science and Technology Cooperation Project. The “Pakistan Tropical Economic Palm Production Technology Integration and Demonstration” project undertaken by CRICATAS is the first successful cross-border fund transfer project in Hainan Province. The researcher, Cao Hongxing, shared practices and suggestions on the process of cross-border transfers, the scope of cross-border fund support, the required expenditure vouchers, the supervision of fund, and the supervision of the project implementation process at the meeting.

Director Chen Yixi deployed the next step according to the progress reported by all members , required close communication with partners, strict supervision of cross-border funds, timely tracking the progress of the project, and strive to successfully complete the task requirements of the project.

This symposium is for the further smooth implementation of the pilot scheme of cross-border use of funds and equipment and materials for provincial international science and technology cooperation projects. It is of great significance to transfer cross-border funds of national cooperation projects to cooperative units to guarantee the smooth implementation of national cooperation projects.
