On November 16th, Dr. Cao Hongxing, director of the Oil Palm Research Center of Coconut Research Institute; Qiu Aimiao, director of the Public and Government Affairs Department of Tianjin Julong Group Ltd  to promote the development and trial production of oil palm mechanical fruit harvesters.

At the symposium, Dr. Song Zhiyu, director of the Fruit, Vegetable and Tea Harvesting Machinery Research Center, gave a report on the situation and problems of the previous 4 tests at Coconut Research Institute. The three parties put forward many suggestions and opinions on the progress of the next step, and connected overseas Indonesia's oil palm plantations to propose specific improvement requirements. The three parties unanimously agreed to formulate detailed plans, specific goals, time nodes and responsible persons for the development and trial production of oil palm mechanical fruit harvesters, and strive to optimize mechanical fruit harvesters that can be used in demonstration plantations in February 2022.

 After the symposium, the tripartite visited the R&D and processing base of the oil palm mechanical fruit harvester, and put forward suggestions for improvement of the R&D machinery in Wuxi.
