A Presentation on Egypt by TYSP Expert Dr. Hassan

        Dr. Hassan Abdelmotagly Abdelmougod Gouda, an Egypt scholar funded by the Talented Young Scientist Program of the Chinese governmentgave an interesting lecture about Egypt to the pupils of Class 6, grade 2 in Tsinghua Universtiy High School-Wenchang on June 20.

        Egypt, one of the four great ancient civilizations of the world, is famous for the pyramids, Sphinx, pharaohs, mummies and temples that only be introduced by history books or TV programs for pupils. The lecture was so vivid with lots of photos for historic monuments, which widened the childrens' vision and interests of Egypt. Dr. Hassan answers patiently with the questions asked by the students one by one after the lecture.

        As the development of Chinas economy and science & techniques, more and more foreign talented young scientists are attracted to Coconut Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Tropical Agriculture Sciences (CRI-CATAS) to carry out scientific programs in the fields of tropical plants and to promote the cultural exchange.

        The Talented Young Scientist Program (TYSP) is an international mobility scheme funded by the Chinese government aimed at cultivating future leading scientists together with developing countries. TYSP promotes cross-border exchanges of excellent young scientists, scholars and researchers. TYSP also enhances cooperation among research institutes, universities and enterprises.
