Education Background

Li Jing , an Agricultural biotechnologist, received her BSc degree of Agronomy (2005) from the Inner Mongolia Agricultural University; MSc in Pomology (2009) from Huazhong Agricultural University. She is a PhD candidate in pomology at Hunan Agricultural University, China.

Research Area

Li Jing joined CATAS in July 2011, bringing 2 years’ experience in plant physiology and molecular biology research. She worked in Wuhan Botanical Garden of Chinese Academy of Sciences for two years, during which she was engaged in the study of apple and peach skin coloring.

At present, Li Jing is mainly engaged in the study of seed germination mechanism and fat acid synthesis and metabolism regulation of tropical palm crops. In recent years, more than 10 peers-reviewed SCI papers  have been published on the top journals like The BMC Plant Biology, Agronomy Journal, GigaScience and so on.

Main Projects

    1. Role of transcription factors EgWRI1s in regulating the differential fatty acid composition formation in oil palm, Natural Science Foundation of Hainan Province (NO: 318QN274)
