 Education Background

Cao Hongxing ,were mainly engaged in oil palm genetic resource and breeding, received her BSc degree of Horticulture (2000) from Henan Institute of Science and Technology College, and her PhD in ecology (2008) from Institute of genetic development and biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

Research Area and Finding

Dr. Cao has devoted herself to basic biological research of high yield, cold resistance on oil palm,especially the cold resistance evaluation and biology changing after pollination.She presided over and participate in more than 30 scientific research projects including national natural science foundation of China, the state forestry administration’s 948 and Hainan provincial key projects. 4 provincial and ministerial awards (1 first price, 2 second prices, 1 third price); participated in identification of 4 varieties; 8 patents were granted as the first completer; published more than 40 papers; published 4 monographs as chief editors; completed 1 agricultural industry standard and 4 local standards of Hainan as the first completer. She enrolled in the Nanhai Famous scientist,as the treasury specialist of Hainan provincial department of forestry and Hainan provincial bureau of quality supervision, and a member of the academic committee of Chinese academy of tropical agricultural sciences.
