Li Heshuai, a plant sciencist by training, received his Bachelor of Agriculture (2001) from the South China University of Tropical Agriculture, China, and his Master of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (2008) from Hainan University, China.
Research Area
Mr. Li mainly engaged in the research of the germplasm resource and breeding on coconut, has presided over 1 Natural Science Foundation of Hainan Province, 1 Science and Technology Foundation of Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Science, 1 Basic Scientific Research Operating Expenses Project of Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Science, and so on. He has also participated in Science and Technology Projects for Public Welfare Industries, Fund for the transformation of agricultural scientific and technological achievements, Special Fund of South Subtropical Crops, Key Science and Technology Projects of Hainan Province, and so on. As the main member, he has obtained 1 China Agricultural Science and Technology Award, and has formulated 2 agricultural industry standards; As the main accomplisher, he has selected 2 coconut varieties which had been examined and approved by National Committee for Certification of Tropical Crop Varieties, and selected 1 betel nut species identified by Hainan Crop Variety Examination and Approval Committee.He has edited 1 monograh as the chief editor, and edited 1 monograh as one of the deputy editors.
